The manufacturer requires calibration any time the windshield is removed on a Driver Confidence-equipped Encore GX. We always inform customers of this.
Our recommendation: If you're using insurance, calibrate — cost is covered. If paying out of pocket, a non-calibrated replacement is a reasonable choice if the system was working perfectly before.
