Cadillac ADAS Calibration After Windshield Replacement

Cadillac's Driver Assistance Package uses a windshield-mounted camera. When the windshield is replaced, calibration ensures every safety feature works correctly.

What Driver Assistance Includes
Forward Collision Alert, Lane Keep Assist, Front Pedestrian Braking, IntelliBeam automatic high beams, and Following Distance Indicator. All powered by a windshield-mounted camera behind the rearview mirror.

Calibration After Replacement
The camera bracket is removed with the old windshield and re-mounted to the new one. Static calibration re-establishes the camera's reference points using manufacturer-spec targets. Our method is static only — the most precise approach.

Super Cruise — NOT Windshield-Dependent
Super Cruise uses an infrared driver-facing camera on the steering column, LiDAR map data, and GPS. This is NOT the windshield-mounted camera. Super Cruise does NOT require recalibration after windshield replacement. Only the forward ADAS camera needs calibration.

Cadillac requires calibration after every windshield replacement on Driver Assistance-equipped vehicles. If you're using insurance, calibrate — it's covered. Paying cash? Non-calibrated replacement is reasonable if your system was working perfectly before.
