Every cost component broken out. No surprise charges on your bill. The Pilot's large windshield commands slightly higher glass costs than smaller Honda models.
For any ADAS-equipped Pilot where the total reaches $680–$1,450, your comprehensive coverage almost certainly covers the full job — glass and calibration — with little or no out-of-pocket cost. The Pilot's higher glass cost makes insurance filing even more worthwhile than on smaller models. We handle claims directly with GEICO, State Farm, Progressive, Allstate, Farmers, and USAA.
📋 Start Your Insurance Claim →The Pilot's large windshield and HUD option on Elite trims make glass selection more critical than on most Hondas. Glass quality directly affects ADAS calibration reliability on all Sensing-equipped models.

|---|---|---|
| Collision Mitigation Braking (CMBS) | Yes | Camera angle may shift |
| Lane Keeping Assist (LKAS) | Yes | Camera angle may shift |
| Lane Departure Warning (LDW) | Yes | Camera angle may shift |
| Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) | Yes | Camera angle may shift |
| Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) | Radar + camera | Camera angle may shift |

Honda's documentation requires calibration any time the windshield is removed on a Sensing-equipped Pilot. That's the official position and we always inform customers of it clearly.
In practice, many non-calibrated replacements result in a system that continues to function. The camera re-mounts to the same bracket in the same position. That said, the Pilot's larger, more raked windshield means the camera sits at a more extreme angle than on a CR-V — and small variations in glass thickness or mount alignment have a proportionally larger effect on the camera's field of view. Calibration risk is higher on the Pilot than on smaller models.
Our recommendation for Pilots: If you have comprehensive insurance, always calibrate — cost is covered entirely. If paying out of pocket, we recommend calibration on any 2019+ Pilot or any 3rd gen ADAS-equipped model. If warning lights appear after a non-calibrated job, bring it back and we'll calibrate at cost.
📋 Using Insurance? Start Your Claim →On a Pilot, the answer is almost always replacement — and it's more urgent than on smaller vehicles. Here's why.
From $280 · Same-day mobile available throughout LA
$95–$150 · We'll always tell you if replacement makes more sense
A Pilot windshield has more surface area than a CR-V, Accord, or HR-V. Every square inch of glass under thermal stress is a potential crack propagation path. A chip repair on a Pilot buys you time — sometimes only 24 hours of time in July or August. Resin fill on a chip near the camera zone (top center) on any 2019+ Pilot can also cause calibration failure or intermittent ADAS warnings.
The math favors replacement: A chip repair runs $95–$150 with no warranty and no guarantee on a Pilot's fast-cracking glass. A full replacement with calibration through insurance typically costs you nothing. We'll give you an honest assessment — if a repair is genuinely safe, we'll say so. If it's not, we'll tell you why.
Your VIN is critical on the Pilot — it's the only way to confirm ADAS equipment by trim year, HUD spec on Elite, and exact glass part number.
The 17-character VIN on your dashboard (driver's side, visible through the windshield) or door jamb tells us everything — glass spec, Honda Sensing® equipment by trim and year, HUD availability on Elite, and acoustic glass requirement. One number, one call, done.
