Land Rover’s manufacturer documentation requires calibration any time the windshield is removed on a Driver Assist-equipped vehicle. Every Defender has this system — no exceptions.
Our recommendation: If you’re using insurance, calibrate — the cost is covered and there’s no reason not to. If you’re paying out of pocket and your system was working perfectly before, a non-calibrated replacement is a reasonable choice. If warning lights appear after the job, bring it back and we’ll calibrate at cost.
