Porsche InnoDrive, Lane Change Assist, and Lane Keep Assist are Porsche's suite of camera-based safety systems. When the windshield is replaced, the front camera behind the rearview mirror may shift, and calibration ensures every safety feature works correctly.

What Porsche InnoDrive Does
Porsche uses a forward-facing camera mounted behind the rearview mirror to power its suite of ADAS features. InnoDrive provides Adaptive Cruise Control that reads road curvature, speed limits, and traffic flow. Lane Keep Assist maintains lane position. Lane Change Assist monitors blind spots during lane changes. Night Vision Assist is available on select models. Surround View provides a 360-degree camera view for parking and maneuvering.

The camera bracket is removed with the old windshield and re-mounted to the new one. Even a fraction of a degree of shift in camera angle throws off the system's reference points. Calibration re-establishes those points using manufacturer-spec targets — our method is static only, the most precise approach available.

Porsche-Specific Camera Sensitivity
Porsche demands premium-grade glass for all ADAS-equipped models. The optical clarity requirements for Porsche's camera systems are among the strictest in the industry. We use only Saint-Gobain/Sekurit (Porsche's OEM supplier) or Pilkington. XYG, Benson, and Fuyao are NOT used on Porsche — these are economy-tier brands that do not meet Porsche's optical specifications for ADAS calibration.

Porsche requires calibration after every windshield replacement on ADAS-equipped vehicles. Given the cost of Porsche glass and the precision of these systems, we always recommend calibration.
